2010
Jason Schnautz Benefit Thanks and Summary
Hello, folks.
I would like to thank each and every one of you who attended, or donated
to, the 1st Annual Jason Schnautz Benefit. Because of you and your
generosity, we raised over $9,000.00 for the Capt. Paul Pena Memorial
Endowed Scholarship Fund. What a great way to show our love by honoring
Jason and Paul’s memory! The event truly exceeded all of our expectations.

I have
attached a picture (taken by Don Anders) of the San Marcos Baptist Academy
receiving the money from the benefit. The money was presented on Tuesday,
June 1st. Pictured left to right is: Madeline De Long (Director of Alumni
Relations at San Marcos Baptist Academy), Dr. John Garrison (SMBA Academy
Foundation), Joel Hofmann (owner and proprietor of Riley’s Tavern), some
guy named Huck, and Cecilia Pena, mother of Capt. Paul Pena.
The following list is long, but please take a couple of minutes to read
the names of the people working behind the scenes (and on stage) who
donated their time and talent to make this benefit such a great success. I
know that I have probably overlooked someone or spelled a name wrong. My
apologies to you.
